For this month's Community Reports forum, we'll be updating you on a few projects with specific scopes. Come hear about:
Our open challenge to better understand how to test for microplastics in foodstuffs. We're hoping this line of thinking culminates in simple and inexpensive tests performed by consumers at home – we'll update you on what we're doing and why it matters.
Our ask of members to request their data from companies that make their exercise equipment and cars. We want to learn more about where that data is being shared; only people in Oregon, Delaware, and (depending on the research question) California currently have the sorts of consumer data protection laws that allow them to make some of these requests. We can all learn together from what we've unearthed.
The next stage in our pricing work: trying to understand more about why we pay the prices we do at the grocery store. We'll be previewing some more of what we have in store as well!
