Tell major lunch suppliers to ban dyes in their food

Chemical food dyes linked to behavioral issues and attention disorders are being served up to our nation’s kids in public school lunches and snacks. California just passed a landmark bill that would ban six synthetic food dyes from foods served at public schools in that state – now it’s time all U.S. kids have the same health protections.
Join us in calling on the three corporations that provide most of our nation’s school lunches – Aramark, Sodexo and Chartwells – to remove harmful chemical dyes in food provided to schools. Every kid deserves the same shot at a healthier future.
Petition to Aramark, Sodexo and Chartwells
In light of the new California law banning chemical dyes from public school lunches, we urge you to expand these health protections to the rest of the nation’s school kids, and remove these dyes from all of the food you provide schools.
Synthetic dyes are linked to neurobehavioral problems and hyperactivity in children, and our children should not be exposed to harmful chemicals that can interfere with their ability to learn, especially when natural alternatives to these dyes are available. Please commit to ending the use of Red Dye No. 3, Red Dye No. 40, Yellow Dye No. 5, Yellow Dye No. 6, Blue Dye No. 1, Blue Dye No. 2 and Green Dye No. 3 from all of the food you provide to the nation’s schools.
