Stop eating pesticides!
EPA should ban these risky chemicals

Consumer Reports has rated about 20 percent of nonorganic produce ‘poor’ when it comes to pesticide residue — including fresh green beans, peaches and potatoes. And while organic produce overall is a safer alternative, even some organic produce like fresh spinach, have troubling levels of pesticides.

It’s time our government cleans up the pesticide problem on our produce. Sign our petition to ban the riskiest pesticides for U.S. agricultural use, which impact both consumers and farmworkers. Eating healthy shouldn’t be a risky proposition!

Eating more fruits and vegetables shouldn’t be a risk to our health. That’s why we support the Protect America’s Children from Toxic Pesticides Act, and are calling on Congress and the EPA to immediately ban risky pesticides from agricultural use in the United States.

Europe already has banned these pesticides, including those that target neurological systems. The EPA also must close dangerous loopholes that allow certain pesticides to be used before they have gone through a full health and safety review.
