A new Consumer Reports investigation found that Kroger, one of the nation’s largest grocery chains, is mislabeling shelf prices that could leave shoppers paying 18 percent more on certain items at checkout! Our investigation found significant errors on discount price labels on store shelves in 7 out of the 13 states and D.C. we shopped. Our shoppers found over 150 labeling errors in their carts, which would have cost an extra $260!
Groceries cost enough these days without grocery store pricing issues that further eat into your wallet. Help put pressure on Kroger to follow the law and ensure shoppers get the advertised shelf price at checkout. Sign our petition now!

We demand you immediately take steps to Make the Price Right in all your stores and honor the advertised shelf price of all the items sold in Kroger stores at checkout. A new investigation by Consumer Reports and other news organizations found significant errors on discount price labels on Kroger store shelves in 7 out of the 13 states and D.C. we shopped. In these Kroger stores, wrong or expired shelf prices resulted in an average overcharge of $1.70, or 18 percent, per item at checkout. During a time of skyrocketing grocery prices, we expect your company to immediately address these labeling errors and ensure American consumers get the lowest advertised price in your stores.
