Keep Americans Online during COVID-19
Sign our petition to Senators: Let’s help struggling families get internet access for school, work, and medical care during COVID-19.

Petition to Senate:

"We are urging your support for $50 in monthly emergency assistance to those families struggling to afford Internet access during the COVID-19 pandemic. More than ever before, Americans need to be online at home for school, work, and medical care. Please include this vital provision in the current Senate COVID-19 relief bill so no one loses their connection to their job or education during this difficult time."

The current spike in COVID-19 cases has again forced most people to work from home, and students to learn from home — which makes internet access more important than ever. Yet millions of families are struggling to afford internet, and 16 million students lack adequate internet or computing devices at home.

The House of Representatives already passed a bill that includes a $50 monthly benefit so Americans who lost their jobs can afford internet. Now, we need the Senate to do the same -- and we only have a few weeks left to put on the pressure!
