Stop Unfair Rate-Setting
Price us on how we drive, not who we are!

A new Consumer Reports’ investigation found Progressive and Geico asked some prospective customers about education level and job title to help set their auto insurance rates. And we found in some states, Progressive and GEICO actually quote higher premiums to people who have less education and lower-paying jobs!

No one should have to pay a penny more for auto insurance just because they haven’t graduated college or have a lower-paying job! Sign our petition to Progressive and GEICO to immediately stop using socioeconomic factors in setting auto insurance rates. This tactic is blatantly unfair and harms those struggling the most!

We demand your companies immediately stop using education level and job title to set customers’ rates. It is fundamentally unfair to penalize consumers with higher premiums based on socioeconomic factors that have nothing to do with their driving record. No one should have to pay a penny more for auto insurance just because they haven’t graduated from college or have a lower-paying job!
