Duke is planning to nearly quadruple their fixed fees, despite the fact that they made record profits last year. If they succeed, customers will pay almost four times as much before they even flip on the lights. That’s bad news for Ohioans, especially those trying to manage a budget, cut back on electricity usage, or rely on home-generated energy from solar panels.
But before they can hike your bill, Duke must justify this price increase to the Public Utility Commission of Ohio. Two last minute hearings were just scheduled in Cincinnati, which means that customers like you have a chance to speak out against these unfair fee increases.
RSVP to attend the hearing and speak out against the price hike.
