Olivier
Fast Company named CR one of the most innovative organization as technology has evolved while still remaining true to our mission to advance consumer safety and rights. As Marta says: “Our mission is unchanging, but the marketplace is dynamic. Consumer protections and rights haven’t kept up with the pace of technological change. We believe that you don’t need to make a trade-off. You can design with consumer safety in mind.”
Chevron: Monitor the effects of the Chevron Deference overturn, and catalyze bipartisan support for legislation that reinvigorates agency authority in rulemaking and enforcement.
Food safety: After our investigation into heavy metals in chocolate last year, CR did not stop. In the Spring we published a report about Lunchables and CR and the nonprofit More Perfect Union delivered nearly 50,000 petition signatures to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We’re calling on USDA to remove Lunchables food kits from the National School Food Lunch Program. But there's more, as the fall days are just around the corner with Halloween and Thanksgiving, we found high lead levels in cinnamon. These reports and their impact would not be possible without your support.
