Many of the consumer and safety protections we rely on are now threatened due to the recent Supreme Court decision that undermines federal agencies’ ability to protect the public.
After having learned more about the current state of play, we're reconvening to talk through the actions we can take to strengthen the Consumer Movement and protect ourselves from things like contaminated food, hazardous products, dirty air and water, and predatory financial schemes. While we don't have all the answers, we do know that we'll need to come together to make our voices louder than ever before. Let's get started by talking through what actions we want to take together.
We'll talk through efforts like a legislative push to codify Chevron, the new examples of participatory processes that allow us to affect different regulatory agencies, and how these things all level back up to the vital questions of protecting our communities and putting people ahead of profit.
