Protect our financial watchdog!
After the 2008 bank-fueled economic crash, consumers
helped establish an independent financial watchdog to protect
their money from predatory institutions and scammers.
Despite returning $21 billion to consumers in the past
fifteen years, this watchdog is under attack. Congress and the
current Administration have blocked – or are attempting to repeal
– several pro-consumer protections.
It's vital that our
representatives hear directly from
you to let them know you
want a strong financial watchdog — not a big bank lapdog.

Consumer Rights Rights we've lost –
❌ Credit card & bank overdraft fee limits
❌ Data broker restrictions
❌ Personal Financial Data Rights rule
❌ Medical debt credit reporting ban
What's more, the agency has changed
directions, leaving consumers vulnerable to
fraud and scams by slashing the
budget and dramatically scaling back its
oversight and enforcement actions.
The administration is trying to fire 90% of the CFPB workers dedicated to protecting your money. CFPB opponents in Congress are determined to slash its budget as part of the upcoming reconciliation package.
