High-speed internet is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity for our livelihoods and for our economy. Yet millions of us have no access to broadband internet, and even more can’t afford it. And the giant internet providers face little to no competition, holding constituents like me hostage to high prices and poor service. Please support HR 1783/S 745 the Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act, so constituents have access to affordable, reliable internet service.
We have the opportunity right now to get better, more affordable, and more fair internet. A plan is on the table in Congress that would allow cities and towns to invest in broadband internet for more choice; make sure there are accessible, affordable options; and hold giant internet companies accountable to consumers.
Ask your Senators and Representative to support the Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act. This bill could be a key part of the infrastructure plan — let’s make sure it doesn’t get lost in the negotiations.
